"The Cry of The Poor" for Operation Care Dallas by Aimee
Sept. 26, 2009 For several months, I have had this urge to put the song, The Cry of The Poor on the site as visitors come to visit the site. But I couldn’t find it online that sounded like the one I heard before (can’t remember where I heard it the first time), so I finally gave up.
Today, my grandbaby, a 21-month old, walked up to me with a CD and pointed at Jesus (she calls Jesus, Babies), “Babies!” I took the CD, thanked her and placed it in my pocketbook. Later, I got to my car, took the CD out, thinking of enjoying some music as I drive. I took the CD out of the case, and there, the first song was The Cry of The Poor.
Surprised, I looked, and it was a CD I bought a long time ago from a couple that sing beautifully. I played the song in my car’s CD player. As the music started to play, and this beautiful voice started to sing, I realized, the song I heard it a long time ago was the one sung by Robin Kochis.
It is a coincidence or a calling, or a confirmation that I need to play this song on the site during this fund raising period, and during the December party for the homeless to raise the awareness of the crying of the poor as they need our help.
I looked at the materials that came with the CD. I found the email address for Robin. I emailed her and explained the above. She replied immediately from here Blackberry giving us the permission to use the song for the site. Furthermore, Robin will also send us CD free to sell to raise money for the Christmas Party for the homeless in December.
There, a kind heart and a giving soul, here again, at Operation Care Dallas. Click here to hear The Cry of The Poor.
